Line Striper
A line striper is a wheeled airless sprayer that lays crisp painted lines on pavement for parking lots, roads, and courts. Guide wheels and gun mounts keep line width and position consistent at walking speed.

Cómo funciona
An engine or motor drives an airless pump that pressurizes traffic paint to one or two spray guns mounted on an adjustable boom. The operator walks the machine along a chalk or string reference while the gun fans a controlled-width line. Flow keeps pace with ground speed, and dual-gun setups lay double lines in one pass.
Tipos y variantes
- Walk-behind stripers
- The standard class for lots, warehouses, and courts.
- Dual-gun stripers
- Two-gun machines painting double lines simultaneously.
- Ride-on and stand-on units
- Higher-production machines for large lots and roads.
Especificaciones clave
| Especificación | Rango típico | Qué significa |
|---|---|---|
| Gun count | 1-2 guns | Dual guns halve passes on double-line and wide-line work. |
| Maximum flow | 4.7-8.1 L/min | Flow capacity sets walking speed and line coverage. |
| Fuel capacity | 2.5-5.3 L | Tank size governs run time between refuels on engine models. |
| Sound level | 85.5-96 dB(A) | Above the hearing-protection threshold in normal operation. |
Cómo la industria lo dimensiona
Machines scale by pump output and gun count: single-gun walk-behinds cover parking lots and floors, while dual-gun and ride-on machines serve airports, roads, and large campuses where pass count dominates cost.
Aplicaciones
- Parking lot layout and re-striping
- Warehouse floor aisle and safety marking
- Athletic courts and playgrounds
- Road maintenance and crosswalk marking
Seguridad y operación
- Airless tips inject paint through skin at close range; tip guards stay on and injection wounds are surgical emergencies.
- Measured sound levels of 85.5-96 dB(A) put operation above the hearing-conservation threshold.
- Striping in active lots and roadways requires cones, vests, and traffic control.
Normas y certificaciones
- OSHA · 29 CFR 1926.52
- Occupational noise exposure limits apply at measured sound levels.
- OSHA · 29 CFR 1926.302
- Power tool requirements for pressurized spray equipment.
