Off-Road Hauling
Off-road trucks haul material where highway trucks cannot operate. Articulated dump trucks lead the class, carrying loads across soft, steep, and unimproved ground.
Cómo funciona
The articulation joint lets the front and rear frames roll independently, keeping six driven wheels in ground contact where a rigid chassis would lift wheels and lose traction. Payloads in the 25-45 t range travel from cut to fill over grades and surfaces that would stop an on-road truck.
Tipos y variantes
- Articulated Dump Truck
- Off-road hauler with a pivoting frame that carries material over rough or soft ground.
- Truck Unloader
- Conveyor or elevator system that unloads bulk material from trucks.
Cómo elegir
ADTs earn their place when haul roads are soft, steep, or temporary — mass excavation, mine and quarry support, and wet-season earthmoving. Payload class is matched to the loading tool's cycle so the excavator or loader fills a truck in an efficient number of passes; on firm, established haul roads, rigid or on-road trucks may move material at lower cost.
