Indirect Fired Heater

An indirect fired heater burns fuel inside a sealed heat exchanger and exhausts combustion products through a flue, so the air delivered to the space is clean, dry and fume-free — the heater class for enclosed, occupied and finish-sensitive work. Cómo funciona

The burner fires into a combustion chamber and exchanger; a fan drives process air across the exchanger's outer surfaces, picking up heat without contacting the flame or its byproducts, which leave through a stack. Ducting carries the clean hot air into the space while the heater itself sits outside or at the perimeter. The exchanger costs some efficiency versus direct fired designs, repaid in air quality — no carbon monoxide, no added moisture — which also makes the class the drying heater.

What does indirect fired actually buy over direct fired?
Clean, dry delivered air. Combustion products leave through the flue instead of entering the space — the requirement for occupied buildings, drying work and finish-sensitive trades — at some efficiency cost.
Why are these the standard drying heaters?
Direct combustion adds water vapor to the air it heats; the indirect exchanger adds none. Heat that dries instead of humidifying is the point on restoration and curing work.
Where does the heater itself sit?
Typically outside the structure or at its edge, with ducting carrying clean air in and the flue venting free — which also keeps fuel, flame and noise away from the workspace.
