Trenchers
Trenchers cut the excavations that shoring protects — narrow, uniform slots for utilities at production pace. Walk-behind machines are the larger class, with ride-on units for deeper and longer runs.
Cómo funciona
A digging chain studded with cup teeth rotates around a boom lowered into the ground, carrying spoil up and casting it beside the cut in a continuous windrow. Boom length sets depth capacity; the machine trenches in reverse at a pace the soil dictates.

Cómo elegir
Depth, length, and soil pick the machine: walk-behinds cover irrigation and service laterals to about 3-4 ft; ride-on units take frost-depth mains and long runs. Rock and heavy roots push toward heavier chains and machines, and every trench begins with utility locates and — at depth — the protective-system rules.
