Material Lifts and Conveyors

Material lifts raise ducts, beams, cabinets, and sheet goods into position without powered elevation platforms. Winch-operated material lifts lead the class, with drywall lifts and vacuum glass manipulators for their specialties.

Fonctionnement

A hand winch or crank drives cable over mast sheaves, raising the carriage; stabilizer legs keep the load's center inside the base. Capacity falls as height rises, published as a load-height chart. Drywall lifts pivot the sheet to angle, then crank it flush; vacuum manipulators hold glass while operators fine-adjust position.

Types et variantes

Material Lift
Portable winch- or crank-operated lift that raises ducts, beams, and equipment into place.
Drywall Lift
Wheeled lift that holds and positions drywall sheets for ceiling and wall installation.
Glass Manipulator
Vacuum-cup machine that lifts and precisely positions glass and panels.

Comment choisir

Load and height select the unit: HVAC and steel-stud trades size material lifts by duct or beam weight at the needed lift height; a single hanger crew finishes ceilings with a drywall lift; glazing beyond safe two-person handling calls for a manipulator. All are indoor-friendly — no emissions, tight footprints, doorway-passable.

Questions fréquentes

What is the difference between a material lift and a drywall lift?
Purpose-fit. A material lift hoists general loads on forks or a platform to 12-25 ft; a drywall lift cradles one sheet, tilts it to angle, and presses it to ceiling or wall for fastening.
How much can a material lift raise?
Common units handle roughly 300-650 lb at low height, less at full extension — the load-height chart on the mast is the governing document.
When is a glass manipulator worth deploying?
When panel weight or placement precision exceeds safe manual handling — storefront lites, interior glazing, and stone or solid-surface panels set on vacuum cups.
